Terms and Conditions
The Actor’s Training Academy (also known as TATA)
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions set out the legal agreement between The Actor’s Training Academy (referred to as “TATA”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and the parent, carer, adult participant, or organisation (“you” or “the participant”).
By registering, booking, or attending any TATA provision, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and all associated policies referenced within them. These Terms form the overarching contractual agreement for all services provided by TATA.

In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and any individual policy, these Terms and Conditions will take precedence.

3. Services Provided
TATA provides actor training, including but not limited to:
- Academy classes and workshops
- 1:1 tuition sessions
- School-based extracurricular clubs
- School-based LAMDA tuition
- Performance and skills-based training programmes
We reserve the right to modify, adapt, or withdraw services where necessary to ensure quality, safety, and operational effectiveness.
4. Registration and Eligibility
Participation is subject to completion of our Registration Policy requirements.
We reserve the right to decline or withdraw participation where necessary for safeguarding, operational, or suitability reasons.
5. Bookings
All bookings are subject to availability and are governed by our Booking & Cancellation Policy.
A place is not guaranteed until it has been allocated and confirmed through the relevant booking or registration system.
We reserve the right to manage group sizes and staffing to ensure safe and effective delivery.
6. Fees and Payment
All fees are set out in our Fees and Payment Policy.
By booking or registering, you agree to pay all applicable fees in accordance with that policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or withdraw participation for non-payment.
7. Notice and Termination
Termination of participation, whether initiated by TATA or the participant, is governed by our Termination and Notice Policy.
Notice periods vary depending on the type of provision.
We reserve the right to terminate participation immediately in cases involving safeguarding concerns or serious breaches of policy.
8. Refunds
Refund eligibility is governed solely by our Refund Policy.
Refunds are not automatic and are only issued where outlined in that policy.
9. Cancellations and Closures
Session cancellations, rescheduling, and closures are governed by our Booking & Cancellation Policy and Closure Policy.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule sessions where necessary due to circumstances beyond our control or operational requirements.
10. Behaviour and Conduct
All participants are expected to behave in accordance with our Behaviour Policy and Anti-Bullying Policy.
We reserve the right to take action, including suspension or termination of participation, where behaviour falls below expected standards or compromises safety or learning.
11. Safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. This includes compliance with:
- Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy
- Missing Child Policy
- Uncollected Children Policy
- Health & Safety Policy
- Accident & Incident Reporting Policy
- Medication Administration Policy
- Mobile Phones & Wearable Technology Policy
Safeguarding concerns may override all other policies where necessary.
12. Communications
Communication with parents, carers, and participants is governed by our Communications Policy.
We are not obliged to provide ongoing progress updates unless explicitly stated within a specific programme.
Service-related communications may be issued where necessary for operational purposes.
13. Photography and Media
Photography, video recording, and use of media content are governed by our Photography and Video Policy. Use of images or recordings is subject to consent provided during registration or via the relevant booking platform.
Photography and video may be taken during sessions with consent and may be used for, but not limited to:
- marketing
- social media
- website
- school/partner sharing
Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
14. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
Data is used for administration, safeguarding, communication, and service delivery purposes.
We may share relevant information with trusted third parties such as schools, booking platforms, and service providers where necessary for the delivery of our services.
15. School-Based Provision
Where services are delivered in schools:
- School policies and procedures may also apply
- School safeguarding decisions take precedence on-site
- Operational delivery may be subject to school scheduling, closures, and access rules
- Communication may be shared jointly with schools where appropriate
16. Liability
We take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants.
However, we are not liable for:
- Personal belongings lost or damaged during sessions
- Injuries sustained outside of reasonable control or in breach of instructions
- Disruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
17. Changes to Services or Terms
We reserve the right to update, amend, or modify these Terms and associated policies.
Any changes will take effect once published or communicated through appropriate channels.
Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
18. Governing Principles
These Terms are governed by the principles of fairness, safeguarding, operational integrity, and compliance with UK law.
